This is part 3 of a three-part blog post describing Nuage Networks’ single-platform approach for the software-defined DC and SD-WAN. Read part one here and part two here.
The third and final part of this blog post addresses the DC, which covers Policy-automated 100G Switching and NFV & Telco Cloud.
It is worth noting that the 5.0 release provides a significant number of new capabilities beyond those discussed in this blog, in areas such as DevOps/container networking and cloud i [...]
This is part two of a three-part blog post describing Nuage Networks' single-platform approach for the software-defined DC and SD-WAN. Read part one here.
Nuage Networks is the only vendor to provide true end-to-end seamless connectivity and policy across the DC, WAN, and Public Cloud.
The first blog addressed SD-WAN, which covers SD-WAN Beyond Connectivity and Advanced Networking with SD-WAN.
This second blog addresses SD-WAN and DC, which covers Security and Analytics for DC & WA [...]
Note: This is part 1 of a 3-part blog post on Nuage Networks release 5.0.
2017 began with key wins – BT, Telefonica, and Telia, among others - followed by a healthy stream of Service Provider and Enterprise wins. No less important, 2017 was also a year with a major product milestone in form of the Nuage Networks VSP 5.0 software release. Maintaining Nuage as the leading provider of SDN policy-based automation for the data center (DC) and the wide area network (WAN), the 5.0 release introduc [...]
We’re taking another step towards making the Nuage Networks Virtuoso Certification Program (VCP) the industry’s premier SDN certification with a major release of courses, exams and other learning materials in early 2018.
Some of the new course material we’re introducing includes the VNS Operations course (available early Q2) and updates to existing courses, with a focus on new platform capabilities such as VSS (Virtualized Security Services) and many more. In Q3 of this year, we will al [...]
Software Defined WAN (SD-WAN) technology provides many benefits compared with traditional approaches to building networks on private infrastructures or by building network overlays manually. Greater control and the ability to easily integrate with cloud services through application awareness, automated policy control, value added services, and zero touch secure provisioning, and other capabilities, allow operators to build more dynamic and powerful networks faster than ever before.
I have recently returned from the MEF17 event in Orlando, where Nuage Networks received several awards for its leadership in SD-WAN as well as a Proof of Concept (POC) award for demonstrating tremendous deployment flexibility across a multi-vendor environment. We often tout the flexibility and openness of our VNS solution and this POC was a great testament to that.
In this POC, Nuage Networks joined forces with Telia along with Kvantel, Cisco, OneAccess, and RAD Communications to showcase the [...]
Nuage Networks has recently won Open Networking User Group (ONUG)’s “Right Stuff Innovation” award for excellence in showcasing a comprehensive Proof of Concept (PoC) for the Software-Defined Security Services (S-DSS) Working Group Initiative. This award offers further evidence of Nuage Networks ability to address real-world security issues in a hybrid multi-cloud environment.

As anticipated since we first announced our partnership with BT Global Services to create a next-generation cloud-based SD-WAN service, BT announced this week the launch of this service and its availability to global customers. Equipment for the new service, named Agile Connect, is currently live within the networks of several large global organizations and is now ready for volume deployment for existing and new customers. This represents an important milestone in our partnership with BT, after [...]
In today’s world of distributed denial of service (DDoS), malware, and phishing attacks, along with web application layer breaches and more, businesses are constantly facing evolving security threats. Indeed, 2016 was a defining year for security earning the title “The year of the mega breach.” Underscoring this notoriety, the 2017 IBM X-Force Threat Intelligence Index cited more than 4 billion record leaks, more than the previous two years combined. Faced with these facts and figures, is [...]
Software Defined Networking (SDN) is disrupting the networking industry as never before. SDN started as an academic exercise to separate the control plane from the data plane in networking devices but found it’s bearing as a way to automate and instantiate network state in highly scaled and dynamic datacenter/cloud environments. The use cases for SDN in the datacenter span from IaaS, PaaS and Service Chaining to Datacenter Interconnect, Hybrid cloud and NFV (Network Functions Virtualization).
