Nuage Networks Gets Ready to Blast CloudStack Trumpet

While much of the cloud industry’s focus and marketing dollars (ours included) have been going towards that “other” open source cloud system, Apache CloudStack has been quietly advancing their project and gaining mindshare. And while it’s pointless to argue that one cloud platform is better than another (let’s call a truce in the “cloud wars”, people), it’s hard to ignore the significant number of production clouds that are running Apache CloudStack today.

Since Nuage Networks is committed to an open ecosystem and to giving our customers a choice, we have also been quietly advancing our support for and contributions to the Apache CloudStack project. Nuage Networks 3.0 release of the Virtualized Services Platform (VSP) includes support for CloudStack 4.4 and 4.5, providing scalable high performance networking services running on both vSphere and XenServer. And our networking plug-in has been accepted and checked in to the CloudStack 4.5 release. We’ve also been notching up quite a bit of experience working with customers on their Apache CloudStack deployments, with at least one significant deployment underway.

So we’re very much looking forward to participating in the CloudStack Collaboration Conference Europe this week (November 19-21, 2014) in Budapest, Hungary. Members of the Nuage Networks team will be on hand to meet the CloudStack community, demonstrate our solution, and present the innovative approach our engineers have taken in creating our CloudStack networking plug-in. We also look forward to participating in discussions around the future of CloudStack, and how we can work with the community to advance the platform further.

If you’re attending the event in Budapest, please stop by booth #6 to chat. And make sure you attend the sessions where we’re speaking.
