Nuage Networks from Nokia rated in the Leader Quadrant with the #1 rating for product features and customer satisfaction.
Deploying a Managed SD-WAN service is the ‘go to’ solution for Enterprises as they modernize their network infrastructure as part of their digital transformation. This has been very evident over the last twelve months with our managed service provider partners expanding their offerings to Enterprises wanting a WAN that delivers secure connections regardless of their employees’ location.
Validating the increasing demand for managed SD-WAN from Enterprises is a recent report from leading industry analyst company Info-Tech with their Software Reviews 2021 SD-WAN Data Quadrant.
SD-WAN is the most beneficial wide area networking technology the enterprise has had access to in 10 years. Capable of delivering immediate business value in a very tangible hard dollar way. It has a host of additional operational benefits, but most importantly it is a proving ground for IT operations. The next-gen network is going to require coding skills rather than cabling skills. It will be described by its policies rather than its architecture.

This report is unique as the results are based solely on feedback on user satisfaction related to product features and the customer experience with the vendor. Aggregated emotional response ratings are included in the areas of service, negotiation, product impact, conflict resolution, strategy and innovation to create a powerful indicator of overall customer feeling towards the vendor and its product – all from the SD-WAN users’ point of view.
Nuage Networks scored highly across several key criteria which led us to achieve a position in the Leader Quadrant of the report, beating out all other vendors on the critical ‘Product Features and Satisfaction’ axis.
In addition to the Leader Quadrant placing for Nuage Networks we also picked up five gold medals as the top ranked vendor for the following criteria.
Vendor Capability Satisfaction
• #1 Business Value Created
• #1 Vendor Support
• #1 Availability and Quality of Training
Product Feature Satisfaction
• #1 Dynamic Routing
• #1 Quality of Service
The accolades didn’t stop there with Nuage Networks being ranked in the top three in five of the vendor capability metrics and also in the top three in five of the product feature metrics.
The results back up the work the product team have done in creating a world class platform for managed SD-WAN services. Getting this feedback on the product is fantastic but the team at Info-Tech delve deeper into the satisfaction of the customer with a set of questions that give firsthand feedback on their experience working with vendors.
Called the “emotional footprint”, it provides qualitative research on strategic positioning of the solution within the customer business and the relationships between the customer and Nuage Networks. This feedback is valuable in that it helps us to understand the key drivers for our customers and how we can continuously improve the product and relationships to maximize the value we provide.
Highlights of this part of the report included.
• On the product side; 100% satisfaction in Service Experience, Product Experience and Problem Resolution.
• On the relationship side; 100% satisfaction on the interactions with the Sales, Technical and Product Specialists, Client Services, and Leadership teams.
Overall, Nuage achieved the #1 ranking amongst all vendors on the key metric of ‘Plan to Renew’ and #2 ranking on ‘Likeliness to Recommend’ and ‘Cost is Fair Relative to Value’.
Customer satisfaction surveys like this, especially when conducted by an independent third party, provide direct feedback on what we are doing right and where we need to improve.
The feedback from the report, and from ongoing engagements with our customers, are part of our continuing process to improve the solution and meet the challenges of managed SD-WAN, security, and cloud networking as they emerge. The accolades are great, but they highlighted several areas where we can improve and which the team have firmly set their sights on.
