HP, F5 Networks and Nuage Networks team up with Telstra to produce ETSI-certified Network Functions Virtualization proof of concept
PALO ALTO, Calif., October 12, 2015 — Today HP announced it has joined with NFV ecosystem partners, F5 Networks and Nuage Networks, and Telstra, Australia’s leading telecommunications and information services company, to develop a Networks Functions Virtualization (NFV) proof of concept (PoC) solution. This multi-vendor solution has been certified by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), providing communications service providers (CSPs) with a documented, repeatable framework that can be referenced in deploying NFV technologies.
NFV offers a new way for CSPs to design, deploy, and manage networking services. By decoupling the network functions from proprietary hardware appliances, CSPs can accelerate the introduction of new, compelling services quickly and cost-effectively.
