China Telecom’s Cloud Arm Chooses Nuage Networks SDN technology to Enable Public Cloud Services in China

Nuage Networks is Supported and Ready to Run on Oracle Exadata Database Machine, Oracle Exalytics In-Memory Machine, Oracle Database Appliance and Oracle Big Data Appliance

Paris, OpenStack Summit, November 4th, 2014 – Nuage Networks, the Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) venture focused on software-defined networking (SDN) solutions, today announced that the Nuage Networks Virtualized Services Platform (VSP), version 3.0 has achieved Oracle Exadata Ready, Oracle Exalytics Ready, Oracle Database Appliance Ready, Oracle Big Data Appliance Ready, Oracle Linux Ready and Oracle VM Ready statuses through Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN).

Today’s announcement demonstrates that Nuage Networks supports its Virtualized Services Platform (VSP), version 3.0 with Oracle Exadata Database Machine, Oracle Exalytics In-Memory Machine, Oracle Database Appliance, Oracle Big Data Appliance, Oracle Linux and Oracle VM.

The Nuage Networks™ Virtualized Services Platform (VSP) is a solution that makes the network as readily consumable as the computer resources in a cloud environment. It does this by providing the missing link that can help ensure rapid and efficient delivery of customizable application services, in and across multi-tenanted datacenters. The Nuage Networks VSP can enable the deployment of scalable cloud-based services with the agility and performance demanded by dynamic application environments. Nuage Networks is committed to supporting enterprise-grade Oracle environments to accelerate moving enterprises toward cloud architectures that meld application-driven virtualization and software-defined networking (SDN) technology using open technology platforms. Nuage Networks is a Gold level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork.

Oracle Exadata Ready, Oracle Exalytics Ready, Oracle Database Appliance Ready and Oracle Big Data Appliance Ready are part of the Oracle Exastack Ready program which allows partners, such as Nuage Networks, to be recognized by Oracle for developing and supporting their applications on Oracle Exadata Database Machine, Oracle SuperCluster, Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud, Oracle Exalytics In-Memory Machine or Oracle Database Appliance or Oracle Big Data Appliance engineered systems.

The Oracle Exastack Ready program recognizes Nuage Networks as having an SDN platform that leverages the latest Oracle technology to better support joint customers. Nuage Networks VSP can help enable software defined networking that can be tailored to meet business requirements, because the network is now programmable and automated. With Nuage Networks VSP, network and data center resources can automatically scale up for business demand in any location needed at any time programmed. This can help businesses with rapid responding technology resources that automatically expand or contract to support business in a more cost effective manner, while reduce staff that would be required in a manually provisioned network.

“We’re pleased to work with Oracle and to receive seven new Oracle Exastack Ready statuses to date. The Oracle Exastack program and Oracle PartnerNetwork have helped us to provide customers with the confidence that our Virtualized Services Platform is supported and ready to run with Oracle products and solutions,” said Sunil Khandekar, CEO of Nuage Networks. “Our work with Oracle continues to fuel the success Nuage Networks has achieved over the past year, helping customers migrate their infrastructure and workloads to support hybrid environments as they accelerate migration to the cloud.”

“When OPN members such as Nuage Networks leverage the latest component products of Oracle Exadata Database Machine, Oracle Exalytics In-Memory Machine, Oracle Database Appliance and Oracle Big Data Appliance as the foundation for their applications, they benefit from a complete, integrated and cloud-ready infrastructure that will help them utilize new features and functionality and drive innovation,” said David Hicks, Vice President, Worldwide ISV and OEM Alliances, Oracle. “We are pleased to see Nuage Networks achieve Oracle Exadata Ready, Oracle Exalytics Ready, Oracle Database Appliance Ready, Oracle Big Data Appliance Ready, Oracle Linux Ready and Oracle VM Ready status, as this significant milestone helps equip them to deliver value to customers.”
