Nuage Networks to provide datacenter automation for TOTVS

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CALIFORNIA –– AUGUST 29, 2016 –– Nuage Networks, the Nokia venture focused on software-defined networking (SDN) solutions, announced today that the enterprise software and solutions vendor TOTVS will use its technology to support the growth of the company’s subscription business model – TOTVS Intera. Launched one year ago, TOTVS Intera is a pioneer model that provides access to TOTVS’ entire specialized portfolio through a public or a private cloud by acquiring a monthly signature.

In the first trimester of 2016, the company’s subscription revenue surpassed the traditional licensing model, enhancing how successful and established the model became in a short period. By deploying the Nuage Networks Virtualized Services Platform (VSP) overlay, TOTVS will be able to offer new and existing customers an extended environment that makes use of both public and private cloud infrastructure. VSP is hypervisor-independent and operates seamlessly with all existing network equipment, allowing TOTVS to maintain Cloud services specialized on its products portfolio.

“With the deployment of Nuage Networks Virtualized Services Platform, TOTVS has the flexibility to manage customer workloads across private and public clouds,” Nuage Networks Founder and Chief Executive Officer Sunil Khandekar said. “Not only does the added private cloud capacity allow TOTVS to serve more customers, it allows them to serve customers better because the network is optimized for enterprise application delivery. This makes it easier for TOTVS customers to access and use the applications and information they rely on.”

By moving applications from a hardware appliance to a pure software environment coordinated by OpenStack and Nuage Networks, TOTVS customers realize the benefit of business tools that are always on and available from anywhere. Furthermore, VSP allows workloads to be programmed to comply with applicable regulations, such as when information may not be stored beyond a nation’s boundaries.

Additionally, Nuage Networks Virtualized Services Assurance Platform (VSAP) allows TOTVS to detect, debug and resolve problems quickly through a real-time inventory of virtual services, physical connectivity and the correlation between them.

“TOTVS Intera is already a winning commercial model and was very well received by the market. The cloud-based access is essential to give our current and potential customers the agility and mobility they need to run their businesses without needing to invest in their own infrastructure. Taking all this in consideration, we are making sure that we will have the power to serve this significant demand – no matter how much it continues to grow,” explained Denis Del Bianco, Head for Services at TOTVS.

The project will be fully operational by the end of 2016.
